The Second E · A Guided Journey

Experience: wine, lived.

Nobody ever fell in love with wine by reading about it. Your sommelier guide on tastings, pairings, tours — and the company that turns a bottle into a memory.

Ask me how I learned wine and I will not tell you about books. I will tell you about a table — glasses at every place, somebody laughing, somebody asking "wait, why does this one taste like cherries?" and nobody made to feel small for asking. That table is the whole philosophy of Living in Vin. Wine is not a subject. It is an experience, and experiences are meant to be shared.

The tasting table — taste before you trust

The single most common wish we hear is the simplest: I want to taste it before I buy it. Of course you do. No one buys perfume unsniffed. At our guided tastings the glass comes first and the talking comes second — you taste, you react, and then together we find the words for what you noticed. Five wines side by side will teach you more than fifty labels read in a store.

And here is my favorite part: you are allowed to dislike things. A confident "not for me" is a tasting victory. Every no draws the map to your yes.

Pairing — the conversation between plate and glass

Food and wine from the same place have been finishing each other's sentences for centuries. Pairing is not a rulebook; it is a conversation, and our pairing classes teach you to hear it — why salt makes wine taste softer, why a squeeze of lemon can rescue a mismatch, why the "wrong" wine with the right people is still a better dinner than the reverse. We pair wines with the food you actually cook, not the food of a tasting-menu fantasy.

Tours & voices — go to the source

A wine changes once you have stood where it grew. Our tours and guest speakers close the distance between you and the source: walk the rows, put your hand on the tank, hear a winemaker explain the harvest that nearly broke them. When you next pull that cork at home, you will not be opening a product. You will be resuming a story you are part of.

The company — wine's oldest pairing

Almost everyone we ask says the same thing: they trust a friend's recommendation above all others. Good — that is how it should be. Our pop-up tastings, couples nights, and dinner parties are built for exactly that: intimate by design, capped at fifteen, welcoming by conviction. Come for the wine. Stay for the people. Leave with both.
